Trintec Makes History With The First Aircraft Instrument Inspired Watch in 1990

Trintec Industries Inc. is in a very unique position to make a claim that many watch manufactures would love to make...
They are the original creators, designers and developers of the first Instrument Inspired Watch!
There is literally a plethora of Instrument Inspired Watches on the market today and suddenly it seems that every watch company is now somehow affiliated with Aviation. Watch companies like Bell & Ross, U Boat, Junkers and Wenger (just to name a few) either didn't exist or were not producing watches when Trintec introduced The Original Instrument Inspired Watch in 1990. Their original watch designs predate the above companies attempts by at least 15 years.
The Original Instrument Inspired Watch was first introduced to Pilots and Aviation Enthusiasts in 1990. The watch was based on a Design Patent issued to Brendon Nunes, Founder of Trintec Industries, in 1987. That US Design Patent (D288,412) was filed in July of 1984 and was issued on February 24, 1987. That patent featured a clock which was inspired by an Aircraft Instrument, particularly an Aircraft Altimeter. That Design Patent would later become the inspiration for the FIRST Aircraft Instrument Inspired Aviation Watch in 1990; The 9060 Altimeter Watch.

I had an opportunity to visit Trintec recently and got a first hand look at the Production Facility.
